2. Once submitted, the Agency Open Records Officer has five business days to respond to the Right-to-Know request. All written requests shall be sent to Smithfield Township using the following contact information:

3. If a written request for records is granted, the following fees may be charged to the request per Section 1307 of the RTKL:

If a written request is denied or deemed denied, the requester has fifteen (15) business days to file an appeal from the mailing date of the agency's response or the date that the request was deemed denied. For in-person submissions and submissions via postal mail, the deadline is 5:00 p.m. on the 15th business day.
If you feel a Right-to-Know Request was improperly denied (this includes improper redactions, deemed denials, and fees), you are encouraged to file an appeal with the Office of Open Records.
