The River of the Year Festival will occur at Minisink Park, address of 44 River Rd, East Stroudsburg. This event is hosted by the Monroe County Conservation District, is designed to be a vibrant, family-friendly event that brings the community together in celebration of our beautiful river.

This festival will highlight the importance of conservation efforts and the rich natural heritage of our region, honoring both the Sojourn and the ongoing environmental preservation initiatives led by our local government. This will include awards given to local representatives and government officials.

Attendees should be able to expect a fun-filled day with a wide variety of activities for all ages, including tabling and events by local, state, and federal entities, showcasing the incredible work being done to protect our waterways. Local Monroe County vendors and community associations will also be on hand, offering unique products and services that reflect the spirit of our area. Education will also be performed by entities such as the Kettle Creek Environmental Education Center, United States Fish and Wildlife, Pennsylvania Fish and Boat and miscellaneous private wildlife related sanctuaries.

In addition to informative exhibits, the festival will feature a fantastic selection of food trucks serving up delicious local fare and live music that will keep the energy high throughout the day. This event is a wonderful opportunity to come together as a community, enjoy the outdoors, and celebrate our river and the efforts to keep it thriving for future generations.
