The Second Class Township code creates the appointed office of Solicitor. The term is for one year (or the pleasure of the Board), renewable by the Board of Supervisors annually. Duties include preparing ordinances, resolutions, contracts the Township may be party to, arguing on behalf of the Township in legal matters, and write opinions on resolutions of public hearings when directed by the Board.
