The Open Space Advisory Committee was established after the passage of the 2016 Clean Water Bond Issue, which creates a $2,000,000 bond to procure properties with endangered clean water and species/habitats. The Committee reviews potential acquisitions and recommends them to the Board of Supervisors for their consideration. At that point the Board of Supervisors can choose to begin negotiations to purchase property — generally for purity protection but potentially for public use. Regular meetings are held the fourth Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m.
